Chapter Six

Zach

I wake up to the morning sun trying to creep in around the edges of the hotel’s blackout curtains. The room’s still mostly dark and Abbi is tucked into the crook of my arm, her naked body nestled against mine.

I rest my cheek against the top of her head, soaking up the smell of her shampoo and the way her curves press against me. The bedsheets fall around our waists and as I watch her breasts rise and fall with each breath, my cock hardens.

“My parents will wonder why I didn’t come home last night,” she says, looking around for her clothes. She looks a little freaked out and it sends a jolt of panic through me.

“You’re a big girl,” I say. “They can’t be that worried. Please, stay with me a while. We could get breakfast.”

“Breakfast?” she asks, as if I just asked her to go on a trip to the moon with me.

“Yeah, you know - food. I eat it sometimes and I’m pretty sure I’ve seen you eat, too,” I say. It comes out dirtier than I intended and now my head’s filled with images of her on her knees in front of me.

Knock it off, Holiday, or you really are gonna scare her away.

“We could go down to Emmett’s Bakery and get a couple of his world-famous pumpkin spice cinnamon rolls,” I say. “My treat.” When she hesitates, I grab her hand and pull her back into my arms, adding, “Come on. You know you could use the nourishment after last night. And you can’t very well do a walk of shame back to your parents’ house with sex hair this bad.”

I ruffle her hair and she squeals, then smacks me in the chest. “Okay, fine. But only because Emmett’s cinnamon rolls evoke a Pavlovian response in me.”

She gets out of bed, dragging the sheet with her with a completely unnecessary dedication to modesty and leaving me naked and uncovered in the process.
